This year, Lauren hosted our annual 1137 Christmas party. Every year, we do an ornament exchange: Everyone brings an ornament, we pick numbers, and choose our wrapped ornaments in order. This year I decided to do something special by getting a picture frame ornament and putting a photo of the seven of us in it (which Anasheh chose!).

Kim was so sad because she forgot her ornament, so she didn’t participate in the exchange. But Lauren was sweet enough to give her an ornament from her Christmas tree so she wouldn’t go home empty handed! As you can see in the picture, Kim’s hand is the one with the sad face on it, hah. We take this picture every year, and I hope we continue to do it every year forever! Ours is such a special bond, and our holiday gatherings just remind us all of how lucky we are to have one another.
